The British Innovation Gateway (BIG) is a five-year programme to catalyse waves of hi-tech innovation in the UK. BIG has its roots in Cisco's 2012 Legacy Programme "Building A Brilliant Future".
The BIG programme, developed in consultation with No. 10 Downing Street and jointly announced by John Chambers, Chairman and CEO of Cisco and the Prime minister, Mr Cameron on 31 January 2011, is Cisco's contribution to both Tech City and the wider UK government growth and innovation agenda.
Cisco is working with a number of partners to develop the UK economy, transform the innovation system and support entrepreneurs.
